Olamide was born on the 15th of March 1989 in Bariga, Lagos Nigeria to the family of Pa Adedeji and his second wife Ronke Osisanya Adedeji. He had his primary and secondary school in Lagos state, and he is also a graduate of Tai Solarin University located in Aijagun, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun state where he attempted to study mass communication but dropped out due to lack of enough funds.

This angered Olamide so he stated “Iyalaya anybody” and then went off the stage throwing the microphone on the stage and storming off the venue with his crew.
