Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu was born in Rivers State Nigeria on the 2^nd of July 1991. He comes from Mbiama in Ahoda West Local Government Area in Rivers State Nigeria. The star is the firstborn of his siblings namely Nissi Ogulu and Ronami.

In an interview with Zane Lowe of Apple Music, Burna Boy said, “You hear most Nigerian songs, or I’ll say African (songs)…I don’t even know what to say; Afro beats, as people call it, is mostly about nothing. There is no substance to it. Nobody is talking about anything.

In November 2017, Burna Boy was accused of panning the attack and robbery of Mr. 2kay at Eko Hotel and Suites in Victoria Island. The matter was resolved and he was released on bail.

Also after breaking up with his girlfriend” Stephanie Victoria Allen, she took to her Instagram to mention that Burna Boy is impotent, later the singer himself posted that “Okay yes I’m an impotent gorilla but I got money so…..!!”.
